Pen name of the Lost WOW editorial team

Mira Duskwood is the name we sign our guides with. It is a pen name, not a single person: every Lost WOW walkthrough and history page is written, checked and kept up to date by the editorial team, and Mira is the byline we put on that work.

Why a pen name

We would rather you judged the guides by how well they work than by who wrote them, and a shared byline keeps one consistent voice across the whole site. We use a monogram instead of a photo for the same reason: there is no single face to show, and we will not invent one.

What Mira writes

Two kinds of pages. The secret walkthroughs are step by step guides to the hidden mounts, pets and puzzles Blizzard has added since Legion, from the Lucid Nightmare to the newest finds in Midnight. The lost areas and lost features pages tell the history of places and features that were built and never finished, and what became of them since: Old Ironforge turning into a real dungeon in WoW Forever, player housing finally arriving with Midnight, GM Island disappearing in Battle for Azeroth.

How the guides are checked

Every fact in a guide has to appear in at least two independent sources, usually Warcraft Wiki, Wowhead and Icy Veins, and we check when a guide was written, because secrets change with patches. Item IDs come from the game database, not from memory. The full rules are in the editorial policy.

Corrections

If a step no longer matches what you see in game, tell us. Fixed pages show a new "Updated" date at the top.
