Enlightened Hearthstone: Six Spheres in Zereth Mortis

This hearthstone arrived with patch 9.2 and then sat unsolved for two years. The answer, found by the secret hunting community in February 2024, needs six players, six spheres and a moment of quiet thought.

Type: toy · Added: patch 9.2.0, solved 3 February 2024 · Players: six with the sphere; anyone nearby can loot · Counts toward: Mind-Seeker

The sphere

Every participant needs the toy Sphere of Enlightened Cogitation, a random drop from the Enlightened paragon reward chest in Zereth Mortis.

The ritual

Find six players with the sphere. Under the Forge of Afterlives in Zereth Mortis, a pool is surrounded by six hexagonal pillars. Each player stands on a different pillar, sits down (/sit) and uses the sphere at roughly the same time. When all six are active, a zone-wide emote announces that The Ponderer's Portal has opened.

The reward

The portal appears by the southern pillar. Loot the Enlightened Hearthstone from it. It has a five-second cooldown between players and stays for several minutes, so everyone nearby can take one, including players without a sphere who only came to watch.
