Sleepy Mandrake: Five Redcaps in Naigtal

Deep in a cave in Naigtal a little mandrake is fast asleep. Wake him with the right breakfast, five different redcap mushrooms from all over the zone, and he follows you home as a battle pet.

Before you start

Naigtal, another Legion invasion point brought back in 12.0.7, is a Showdown zone. Showdown zones rotate, so you can only do this in a week when Naigtal is open.

The five redcaps

  • Airy Redcap: on top of the largest mushroom east of the Sporeforge (95.1, 26.7). The climb starts around 90.1, 37.6 and uses the zone's bouncy mushrooms.
  • Dusty Redcap: inside the Vilaldoun Crypt in western Naigtal (27.9, 50.0), at the back of the left-most, deepest level.
  • Highland Redcap: by a cliff overlooking the Holding Pens (28.9, 61.8). A small path starts behind the Holding Pens around 33.4, 59.7.
  • Marshy Redcap: at the back of the Marshwalk Refuge cave, in the water just east of Manaforge: Arcvein (75.6, 38.1).
  • Partially Digested Redcap: a random drop from fungal enemies in Naigtal. Fungal rares such as Interminable Uarn and the Swalewing Matriarch drop it more often.

Waking him up

Go to Sleeper's Grotto, a ground-level cave just south-west of Manaforge: Arcvein (68.3, 51.6). The mandrake is asleep when you first talk to him. Give him all five redcaps; once he has eaten them he wakes up and the pet is added to your collection.
