Finding the tribe
A Glimmerfin Scout sits on an iceberg off southern Grizzly Hills, south-east of Venture Bay (around 18.4, 88.2). Walk up to scare him off and pick up the Glimmerfin Scale he drops. If he isn't there, he returns within about five minutes.

The quest chain
- Glimmerfin Scale: take the scale to King Mrgl-Mrgl in the Borean Tundra (around 43.5, 13.9). He gives you water breathing elixirs and sends you back.
- Glimmerfin Welcome: kill Scuttleclaw crabs under the iceberg for a Meaty Crab Chunk and bring it to Glimmergut at the shipwreck camp.
- A Big Horkin' Task: a Pile of Blubberfat from the Horkers to the west.
- Seer of the Waves: deliver Glimmergut's package to the Glimmerfin Oracle.
- Pearl in the Deeps: grab the Giant Pearl to the south-west, guarded by the sea serpent Gem-Eyes at the edge of the fatigue water. An aquatic mount helps.
- Trainer's Test: beat Trainer Grrglin in a pet battle on an iceberg. His three aquatic pets fall to flying pets, and even level 1 pets will do.
- Wrap it Up: collect a Young, a Warm and a Bulbous Seaweed Stalk in the fatigue water east of the camp.
- Guardian of the Smallest: kill the Great Mua'kin, an elite makrura east of the camp.

When you hand in the last quest, the egg hatches and you receive Glimr's Cracked Egg, which teaches the pet.
