Grey Riding Camel: Finding the Real Camel Figurine
Small camel statues appear all over Uldum, and almost all of them crumble into grey junk when you click them. About one in twenty is real: it teleports you to a hidden spring where Dormus the Camel-Hoarder keeps his herd. Defeat him for the Grey Riding Camel, the Feat of Strength Scourer of the Eternal Sands and the title "the Camel-Hoarder". It's one of the oldest mount hunts in the game.

Added: patch 4.0.3a (Cataclysm) · Type: ground mount · Figurines:
every 2 to 8 hours · Real ones: about 5% · Shareable: no
How to get it
- Go to Uldum and make sure you are in the old Cataclysm version. If you see N'Zoth's tentacles, talk to Zidormi outside Ramkahen to switch. Figurines only appear in old Uldum.
- Fly the spawn points and look for a small camel statue. There are 50 of them, shown on the map below.
- Click it. A fake crumbles into Crumbled Statue Remnants. The real one teleports you to Dormus at a hidden spring in Feralas.
- You have 20 minutes to find and kill Dormus, an easy elite at max level. Loot the reins.

Tips
- Figurines can't be targeted, so target macros don't work. Search by eye, use the Camel Spotter addon, or turn on friendly NPC nameplates at long range.
- Uldum keeps its spawns when nobody is around, so the 2 to 8 hour cycle never resets.
- Only the player who clicks the real figurine is teleported. Friends can't share the kill.
