Phosphorescent Stone Drake: Camping Aeonaxx in Deepholm
Aeonaxx, mate of the stone dragon Aeosera, circles somewhere above the Temple of Earth in Deepholm a few times a day. Most of the time the spawn goes to a forgettable bat instead. Catch him and he drops the Phosphorescent Stone Drake every time, a dark drake glowing with purple crystals.

Where to wait
Take the Deepholm portal in Stormwind or Orgrimmar and fly to the Temple of Earth. Aeonaxx appears at one of six points around it: north-west (42.0, 43.6), west (43.0, 50.8), centre (49.1, 55.6), south (50.5, 63.5), north-east (53.7, 39.7) and east (55.0, 54.1). Alone, the centre point covers the most ground.

The Blood Seeker trick
Aeonaxx shares his spawn with Blood Seeker, a bat that appears more often and stays only for a few seconds. When the
bat shows up, the spawn is used, and you can take a break of about two hours. Keep two macros ready:
/targetexact Aeonaxx and /targetexact Blood Seeker.
The kill
- Aeonaxx himself hits softly; kill the Young Stone Drake whelps he calls quickly.
- He dies in the air, so have something against fall damage ready, such as a Goblin Glider Kit or Slow Fall.
- Up to five players in a party can all loot the mount, but not in a raid. To share safely, one player tags him with weak hits and the others with a taunt or interrupt, so nobody steals the tag.
- Class trial characters can't loot him.
