Alaina's Bonnet: A Widow's Secret Gift

During the Battle for Broken Shore, in the middle of the fighting, lies a small pile of ashes with a locket in it. It belonged to Cedric Hearthsong, and his widow Alaina lives in a house in Elwynn Forest. Bring it home to her and she leaves you Alaina's Bonnet, a white headpiece that nods to the Messenger ribbon from Bloodborne.

How to get it

1. Use an Alliance character that hasn't finished the Battle for Broken Shore yet, for example a new character levelling through Legion in Chromie Time.
2. In stage 6 of the scenario, go to the altar at 42, 42, guarded by four eredar, and loot the Ashes of a Fallen Crusader. You get the Charred Locket.
3. Finish the scenario.
4. Go to the Eastvale Logging Camp in Elwynn Forest and climb to the upper floor of the house (85.4, 69.6). Talk to Alaina Hearthsong and give her the locket.
5. Leave the house and the Eastvale area, then come back. A chest, Alaina's Belongings, is now in the bedroom upstairs. Open it for the bonnet.

If Alaina isn't there

Alaina is phased with the Broken Shore story. Players who went straight to Eastvale right after the scenario found her; if you wait until later in the Legion story, she may be gone. Horde characters can't do this at all, but once an Alliance character has the bonnet, the whole Warband can wear it.
