Artful Dodging: The Hidden Rogue Set and Its Missing Legs

Artful Dodging is a red and black rogue set, built on the old Bloodfang models, that the Hall of Shadows has hidden since Legion. Three pieces are a vendor away. The mask and boots come out of random treasures in Marin Noggenfogger's vault, and nobody knew where the mask came from for months. The trousers, the Artful Britches, never made it into the game at all.

Shoulders, vest and gloves

These three are sold for a few silver by Jenri in the Hall of Shadows. Since Shadowlands two more vendors carry the same goods: Gerald Black in Stormwind (78.8, 70.5) and Alpheus Cain in Orgrimmar (75.4, 46.0).

Mask and boots: the Uncrowned Vault

The mask and boots are random loot from the treasures in the Uncrowned Vault, the room where Marin Noggenfogger sits on his pile of coins in the Hall of Shadows. There are two ways in:

• A Vault Ticket from order hall missions, once you have researched The Vault in the class hall upgrades.
• Marin Noggenfogger's Lucky Coin, which rogues pickpocket from Broken Isles enemies.

Hand either to Marin and pick a treasure. You can open one a day, but the selection only changes at the weekly reset. The chances are low and spread over many containers, so expect weeks. Players still reported mask drops in spring 2026.

The missing Artful Britches

The set has a sixth piece in the game files, the Artful Britches, but it never left the Legion beta and has no source. The closest match are the Bloodfang Pants from Ragnaros in Molten Core, which drop often and use the same look.
