Truthseeker's Bow: Every Library Book in WoW Forever

Old books lie forgotten in inns, crypts, ogre caves and pirate camps all over Azeroth. Bring them to your faction's librarian and World of Warcraft: Forever pays you back with three reward quests. The last one, at 25 books, offers the Truthseeker's Bow, a bow that players have called the best in the game at its level.

The rewards

Each book you hand in is a small quest of its own. The count is cumulative: 25 books in total unlock all three reward quests.

• 10 books, Friend of the Library: Scholarly Pendant or Erudite's Amulet.
• 20 books, Greater Friend of the Library (level 20): Field Researcher's Loop or Philanthropist's Ring.
• 25 books, Greater Friend of the Library (level 30): Truthseeker's Bow, Crest of Elucidation or Researcher's Night Light. The bow has no level requirement, while the shield and the off-hand need level 40.

The level 30 quest arrived with the beta update of 2 October 2026. A bow this strong for 25 books may well be changed before launch.

Mages: the Research skill

Mages who hand in a book unlock Research. Inside a library they can use Study (one Light Feather, one-hour cooldown) to create a Bundle of Scrolls with mage scrolls such as Imbue Lesser Flame or Imbue Chillknife.
