The Stone Key: WoW Forever's Unsolved Secret
The first big secret of World of Warcraft: Forever starts where most players stop: in the hidden room at Thoradin's Wall where you pick up the Cozy Sleeping Bag. A burnt page, a book in the Undercity sewers and a satchel deep in Blackrock Mountain lead to a Stone Key. What the key opens is still unknown. This page collects every confirmed step and is updated as the hunt goes on.

Step 1: the Burnt Page at Thoradin's Wall
Finish the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain, or simply climb into the same room in Thoradin's Wall, between Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands. Inside a metal bucket above a burnt tapestry lies the Burnt Page. It gives no item, but you can read it, and its riddle points to the Undercity.
Step 2: the Keystone Fragment in the Undercity sewers
Go to the back entrance of the Undercity, through the sewers. There are no guards on the way, but Alliance players are flagged for PvP. In the corridor just inside, a pile of debris holds an open book next to a barrel. The book shows three pictures: Blackrock Mountain, the Dark Portal and Fire Plume Ridge in Un'Goro Crater. Next to it are a Torn Page and a knife. Loot the knife for the Keystone Fragment, a green item with an unlabelled on-use effect.
The Torn Page mentions page 155. That is a page of the original World of Warcraft manual from 2004, which shows an orc warrior studying a map of the southern Eastern Kingdoms, and it is the hint that sends players to Blackrock Mountain.

Step 3: the Stone Key in Blackrock Mountain
Inside Blackrock Mountain, head towards the entrance of Upper Blackrock Spire. Near the spot where the Blackwing Lair attunement used to start, a ramp leads up to the part of Lower Blackrock Spire that lies outside the instance. Jump across the platforms on the right of the ramp until you reach a satchel guarded by a Scarshield Grunt. The mobs here are far above level 20, but the grunt leaves you alone as long as you don't attack him. Use the Keystone Fragment to open the satchel and take the Stone Key, another item with an unlabelled on-use effect.

What we know about the Stone Key
- Nobody has found what it opens yet. The three pictures in the Undercity book (Blackrock Mountain, the Dark Portal, Fire Plume Ridge) are the best leads, and Blackrock Mountain has already paid off once.
- The beta is capped at level 30, so some candidate places can't be reached safely yet. The final step may simply not be in the beta build.
- The hunt is coordinated in the WoW Secret Finding Discord, in its Forever channel.
