Gem of Acquiescence: The Riddle Under Stormsong Monastery
Under Stormsong Monastery, a flooded cave holds an Ominous Altar and a dead man still clutching a damp scroll. Find four more scrolls on the monastery island, recite their lines at the altar in the right order, and the sea takes you to the Gem of Acquiescence, a toy that wraps a void squid around your head. The riddle hinted at Azshara and N'Zoth long before they appeared.

The five scrolls
Coordinates are on the Boralus map; the scrolls can be read in any order.
- Dive into the pool near the south-west entrance of the island (61.5, 83.6) to reach the underwater cave. The first scroll is in a skeleton's hand next to the altar (56.0, 91.5).
- The basement north of the pool, guarded by a K'thir Occultist (61.2, 78.1).
- Upstairs in the central building with the turquoise roof, by a bookshelf (63.0, 81.8).
- The basement of the easternmost building, by a pile of books (71.0, 84.6).
- Under the wooden walkways in the north of the open middle area, by a bookshelf (67.2, 79.8).
The riddle
Back at the altar, choose these lines in this order: "Drink deep the shimmering tide...", "To breathe in the wisdom of the drowned...", "Lost in Her relentless embrace...", "Found in the shadow of His gaze..." and "Dream, dream of the Sunken City." You are teleported under the sea off Tiragarde Sound. Click the purple crystal in front of you before you swim up; if you don't, the toy is lost.
If the scrolls don't appear
Horde players have to finish the Strike on Boralus war campaign chain first, and some Alliance players had to finish the story quests around the monastery. The newest player reports we found are a few years old; if it gave you trouble, tell us.
