Mount Ironforge
The dwarves carved their capital into the heart of a mountain, and on its very top someone planted a lone dwarven flag. Nobody was ever meant to stand next to it. That was exactly why players climbed up there.
The climb
In vanilla there was no flying in the Eastern Kingdoms, so the summit could only be reached on foot: a long route over the snowy slopes, past the troll caves on the mountain's sides and the hidden airstrip on its eastern face, with plenty of jumps that ended in a long fall. At the top waited a small plateau, the flag and a view over the whole of Dun Morogh.

Since Cataclysm
Cataclysm allowed flying mounts in the Eastern Kingdoms, and the peak lost its mystery: anyone with a flying mount can land next to the flag. In WoW Classic the old rules are back, and so is the climb.
